We entered a team of two (Ian and John) in the competitive men’s category and I competed in the solo men’s single speed category at the Bristol Bike Festival
The weather was hot, there was a great turnout and the racing was fierce around a 6 mile circuit of some of Bristol’s best trails!
After six hours of racing this how we did:
Ian and John (our men’s pair) finished seventh after completing 10 laps in a very strong category which included riders from the Bath University squad.
They were just a couple of minutes short of an eleventh lap after a very good effort in the closing stages.
I came second in my solo category after completing 9 laps and finished ahead of two teams that were racing in the same category and therefore won a prize!
